Dear Viewers,
Sadly, the Seattle Waterfront Webcam ceased operations on November 13, 2024.
The shutdown was caused by technical problems with the Internet and because the owners will be moving to a new location without Elliott Bay views.
Highlights from the cam’s 15-year life include witnessing the demolition of the Alaskan Way Viaduct, viewing the cam live-streamed on KIRO 7 evening newscasts, and watching BIG birds fly past the eye of the cam.
Thanks go to my husband, Spencer Johnson, who allowed the cam to be placed in his artist studio; to the wizard behind the curtain who kept the cam operating through thick and thin, Steve Sorbo; to Mike Brogan for website design and patiently coordinating with ipcamlive to keep the camera functioning; and talented graphic designer, Kate Rappé, who designed the initial logo and adapted it over the years.
To stay up to date with what’s going on along the downtown Seattle Waterfront, here are some of my favorite websites and webcams;

It has been an honor and a privilege to serve viewers from Seattle, the United States, and around the world since April 1, 2009.
Many thanks for your support!
